The steep slope on which the site is located constitutes the main design parameter which defines the building’s spatial character and structure. The family home pushes wide into the hillside which thus becomes part of the living space, merely exposing the memorable,
street-facing facade to the public. A shield-like frame revolves around the building’s front, protectively concealing its interiors which reach into the hill on different levels. The frame also integrates the external spaces at the front like swimming pool and terraces.
